In the memory of Zelly Mornington

To the SL community and Friends,

It’s a month today since our beloved Zelly Mornington passed away. I’m sorry I haven’t posted sooner, it’s just it still hurts and it hasn’t sunk in yet, and I can’t believe I’m here telling you this. I just wish I had the chance to say goodbye to her.

Zelly was an amazing woman, boss, worker, friend and sister and I am sure everybody that knew her will be agree with me. She was a very passionate person and always gave 110% to everything she was doing. A true friend that always cares for others; she always worried about me, she always wanted to know if I was happy with the steps I was taking in life. She was like a big sister to me, the one that I never got the chance to meet.

I could keep saying more, but my worlds won’t be enough to describe her and from the bottom of my heart … I really miss her. I just want to give my condolences to her family and let them know she will be always in our hearts.

Zelly loved Striking Poses and after she closed she kept working on some new ideas. Before she stepped away from SL, she worked on some ball room dancing poses, the idea was to do a total of 10 of them, but she only managed to create 3 of them and they were never released. She wanted me to do the pictures when all of they were ready, she said to me “use some of your magic to do something awesome for me” … and here they are … Zelly I’m sorry that I am late giving these to you.

Okay, I know you were expecting some nice pictures to celebrate this day, but I just forgot. I am living in a place without time and I just didn’t realise till today that is 17th!! Sowwy! T_T

But .. I do have something nice, and this is one of the poses from our new collection High Fashion. This pose is perfect for those gowns that have a open side leg, just like the dress I am wearing in my picture:



This is pose number 2, I like the way you look, a cool stand and a very feminine way to put your hands, you are the boss! Totally!

is High ... is Fashion ... it is Striking Poses

Okey here’s the thing, I don’t know what we have done wrong here in Chile, huge earthquake followed by a tsunami and then many aftershocks each night. Yesterday we even had a blackout that affected over 9 states for 3hours, and we only have 13 states! Please someone give us a break!!! T_T


Anyway … Last Friday I told you about our new collection “High Fashion”, which is available now at our store :D

This collection is the first from Striking Poses new FASHION COUTURE POSE line; these poses are specifically made to go with your haute couture fashion. You can’t miss these! Not now with all the RLF things happening, you will need one of our poses to match all the clothes you will get there ;)

This adorable pose is number 6, when I first saw the hand near the face I thought "she is talking on the phone!" so I added my particular mobile and voilá!!!

Sneak Peek!

Hello everyone!

I’m back! … and not just me, Striking Poses too! We have been working hard these past few weeks to bring you the best ever glamorous poses.

I’m still dealing with the earthquakes and aftershocks, but thank God I am still here, Zelly will have a hard time getting rid of me! xD

I haven’t had the chance to welcome our new rentals manager, Italia Villota! … If you need anything in regards to rentals on the Harlow sim she is the girl to speak with! … She’s super cool!

Of course my post doesn’t come alone … no way! … I have for you a sneak peek … something fabulous, something fashionable … something HIGH! ;)

Sunday News at Striking Poses

Hunting Open Season!

No no, this is not like a bugs bunny cartoon, this is about Striking Poses holding a hunt! YAY! I’ve been lucky to be asked to do the advert and the note card to put into every pose you find. This hunt starts today and runs till February 22nd. (I have the location for all of the poses … muahaha(evil laugh))

If you like to go hunting, well SP is also participating in the Snacks N’ Sweets Hunt, you have to look for a yummy cupcake and get your prize :D

No, we are not just focused on hunts, no way … we have a new release for you, and this week it is the time for retro Celebrities! Yay! This weeks is modeled on Susan Hayward, a beautiful woman that made the silver screen sizzle, and now you can too! Only if you get the “ Hollywood Starlet Collection!

Okay! We know you like presents and sales, this is why Striking Poses has a new dollarbie for you, but don’t forget that group members will pay less for dollarbies! :D

And we have a new collection is on sale, this time it is the turn for Lap of Luxury… go to our store and try them out!

Zelly has told me that a new collection will be out this Monday for the Midnight Mania … but … sadly the name of this collection is a mystery, as I don’t know it either! But keep an eye to the group notices, Zelly will inform you all soon ;)

Don’t forget we have free stores for rent at our sim, if you want to open your new branch, or share a sim with wonderful designers, Harlow is your sim … come on over and pick yours!

You can also do some advertising at Harlow, how? Well we have some Advertising Boards for you to show all our customers about your store, no matter if your store is inside Harlow or not, just let us know about you!

Striking Poses is back!

No, I am back! :P

Yes, I had been on my holiday’s hehehe, not that I went anywhere. I needed a break to take care on some RL things and now I have to wait for answers … I hate waiting…. To wait for someone to tell me yes or no while my life is on hold till I get this answer….

And well… I broke my laptop, how? I changed on the graphic settings in SL to try and improve the way my pictures look, but I didn’t know that so I broke my graphic card T_T

I am here now and so is Zelly, finally she got her laptop and she can get to work creating some new poses for us. Oh and this next collection, OMG! You will love it … so here it is .. a sneak peak for you xD



This collection will be released in a few days, meanwhile you can enjoy what we have for you at our store, don’t forget our last releases and if you missed the footwear expo, now all the collections that were made for this event are at our main store, ready for you to take home ;)

What December brings ...

Merry Xmas!!!

Oh wait, it’s not Christmas yet! You would think it was Christmas with all these adverts and promotions going on in game and in real life! … hehehe never mind … I am here to bring the best of Striking Poses and that is my gift for all of you xD

Like everyone else that went to try and win the lovely red winter jacket from the lucky chair, I was fortunate enough to get mine rather quickly! Or so I thought, I clicked to sit, my screen went black, and the game froze… After some mintues of panicking my screen unfroze and I was still sat in the chair with my new Red Winter Jacket!

So I thought I’d use my new jacket in the picture for today, oh and to make things even better my wonderful boots from Magnifico came with a colour changer and the red from them matches perfectly with my jacket! =0*

We all know that a wonderful jacket and lovely shoes don’t make a picture, no no.. it’s the pose that makes the picture! That is why Striking Poses is here, to make you look perfect in whatever you wear. The pose I chose comes from the second collection of Tickled Feet II Chubby, and is totally adorable ^^ this is pose number 7, and you can just buy it with the complete pack.



About the packs, I still have one pose to show you from the first collection of Tickled Feet Chubby, this is the last pose, number 4. This is a is very special pose, I am sure you can use your mind to create something original with it ;)!



Whoever said that you can’t climb with boots? Hah, with Bax Coen Prestige Boots you can go anywhere you want and nothing will stop you ;) I heard they were made to be never take off :P

After Party :)

Here we go!

Good day fellow readers,

Today I have zillions of photos to show you, all from our very successful Harlow Costumed Scavenger Hunt Party … *breath*

A lot of people were around and we all really had great fun, I must confess I was kind of busy taking the pictures, but that is the photographer job … it is not a party if you don’t have a picture to show, right?

So … first at all I am going to congratulate our 2 winners, eKitten Magic, she won the scavenger hunt running all over the sim with her 2 headed baby and pram and not to forget smoking her cigarette! Well don eKitten! And our Best in Costume winner Kyrian Lafavre, wearing an adorable puppet dress with spiders and all that stuff … has to be the best Halloween costume so far :D



We had a real mixture of costumes and I am sure you didn’t realise that we had a real vampire in among us at the party, thankfully he was kind and didn’t bite us ;)

I'm Back to you!

Hello everybody! I am back! Weee

I hope you have missed me because I really did, well … kind of, I was so busy that I hardly got time to think in other stuffs, and I am sure you all know what I mean.

Well, I shouldn’t be posting, I should be on holidays after all this long non stop working wee, but you know, I am addicted to all of you to let you know what is Striking Poses up to.

So, I am gonna star with excellent news … WE WILL HAVE A NEW RELEASE! Woooot! Jup and just exclusive for you I have the full collection and of course a sneak peak for you all ;)



As you know, the celebrities name can’t not be mention in any SL area, but here at our blog we can and let me tell you that this new collection is a really good one, based on the most sexy hottes woman of the world. The rest, you will find it on Friday ;)

Don’t forget people, this is so much important, the old collections names are gone but no the poses, all the poses that you know are the same, we just changed the names of them and if you want to know the new name, go to the store and click that big ads around the whole store. If you are too lazy for doing that or just don’t want to get another NC in your inventory, please feel free to contact me, I’ll help you and even I can make you a tour in the store xD

I’ll try to be posting the new ads on my post too, all that depends if I am able to upgrade my flickr account, I am so proud of them that I just hope you all like it as I do J

Back to the past

Hola Striking Poses lovers,

How is everybody doing today? I hope not so bad for the ones that are living that storms weather, and not too hot for the Europeans, for me … raining and cold weather, last Saturday was snowing in my city, is not very common that kind of events here, even when I live just under the Andes Mountains, the City is too deep down that the snow doesn’t come to it, till last Saturday and today is so cold that maybe we will have the visit of those lovely snowflakes again :D

Well … as I told you, I will be reviewing some old collections meanwhile Zelly is taking some nice holidays, lucky her! … For today I have in mind a retro fatpack, based on Grace Kelly, this beautiful actress and member of the royalty caught the eye of Striking Poses to create some of her most beautiful and elegant poses.



Check them out at the entrance of Striking Poses main store, I am sure you will love them, and just to let you know which poses I have used in my picture, from left to right 3, 5 and 7.

Now, if you were interesting on rent a board for you to advertise at Harlow sim, I am sorry to tell you that they are all gone. But keep an eye to the blog and the group info, we will keeping telling you when we have some free space for you.

What we have free are some of the store to rent, there are 4 of them near the beach, at the dock there is one too, in my opinion this is really good, because the fishing tournaments, the docks is quite busy at evenings, and one on the second streets that goes to the docks. For more information about the shops, contact Jordan Whitt.

So … if you have been having fun with the 7Seas Tournaments at Harlow, well … Rhianna will be keeping you inform on the 7Seas chat and also the Harlow subscribo.

Did you have fun last night?

Well... Hello There!

Another Sunday is here; doesn’t the time just fly by?

I don’t know if it’s just me, but the party last night was lots of fun, I had such a great laugh and it was really nice to spend time with our customers!

I’m going to keep this post a little shorter than usual for a Sunday as I have things I need to get done. So instead of writing lots I’ll just post lots of photos from last night!

We gave away many prizes last night, congratulations to all who successfully answered the trivia questions and won a prize! All prizes were donated from our store owners here at Harlow, so a big thank you to them! I also want to mention what a wonderful job DJ Tydeyz Snook made with the live music, his selection in music was perfect, so let’s say another big thank you to him! And let’s not forget to thank all those wonderful people that attended the party.. THANK YOU ALL!!

Oh oh, did I mention that my Spad won a dress? How pretty he looks in it too! Hehehe.. and He wasn’t the only guy to win one either! Gunter was also a lucky winner too! Silly boys!

Hellow Weekend and ...

Hello Striking Poses Fans!

Friday is here and that means one more week till my big day, in a way, I’m not really looking forward to it, as Spad is not going to be with me to celebrate it, but … I have really good friends and if all goes well, we will spend the weekend in the snowed covered mountains!! YAY!!!

Anyway … Jordan is back so WELCOME BACK HUN! It is really nice to have her here again as I couldn’t do her awesome job xD

So … I have for you one of my last pictures using 2 of the poses from the fatpack Hello Lover. I used the sitting pose number 3 and the standing pose number 7, I chose these because they have a sensual view, they look like they want to be loved and to receive all the tenderness that your partner can offer to you. They look so soft and lovely, they invite you to be touched … the touch of an angel (in rollers xD)

Getting ready for the party?

Hello Everybody,

I’m thinking most of you will be away from the city this weekend, probably at home preparing the fireworks or making sure your barbeques are in pristine condition… Yup, it’s time to celebrate one of the most important days for you guys up North in America. I can remember the days when I lived there, the 4th of July celebrations were always amazing, full of happiness and joy, something I will never forget. (Did I mention 20days after the 4th, it will be my RL birthday? ;)lalala)

I wish you all a Happy 4th of July! And I hope you all celebrate it with your friends and family, and I hope it is a day filled with the joy and happiness!

I have been working on a photo to share with you all, but you will have to wait till tomorrow when Jordy makes her post.(pssst Jordy, could you please post the picture for me? :3 )

I hope you all remember what the release was for this week, if not I’ll just say this… “Glam and Grace” is an adorable female pose, and the pose was made for two ladies to share the moment together. I took this a little further, and I grabbed Spad and instead of sharing it was a lady friend, I shared it with him! I know it sounds rather strange, but the shot I took for the photo was just perfect.. Just take a look for yourself:



So, as you can see ... you can always use it with with a male friend ;)

Are you looking for the perfect pose? ... read here :D

Hello!

Today I've decided to do some photos using our Bewitched studio, as I wanted to give you some ideas when you come to make your own photos.

The first pose I’m using is number ... I believe that this ‘Directors’ sitting poses are just fantastic and as soon as I saw them, I knew I had to become one! Sitting down and I imagined what it would be like to see the actors working their magic on set... do I look important and in control? hehehe I bet not, but anyway, the pose is nice for a casual use and it gives you that young feeling. What I really like about the pose is the feet position; they look so cute, like a little girl :)



My second choice is pose number.... I know Zelly will kill me when she realises that I am standing on the coffee table, hehehehe ... sorry Zelly ;)

This pose is fantastic, and I think every dress designer should use it, especially for the designers that design and create gowns, it is a lovely natural famine and delicate pose, I really love it and I'm sure that you will too.

A little walk on the beach at Harlow ...

Hallow!

Today is a really cold day here in Chile, the mountains are all snowed over and that brings the cold down to our little city. *shivers*

To escape the cold I took a trip to our very own beach at Harlow and as always I had the latest poses attached to my hud. For today’s photo shoot I came equipped with the Taylor swift collection and I’m sure you’ll all love it as much as we girls do (Zelly, Jordan and I).

So let’s get down to business!

I chose pose number 2 for this first photo. My boyfriend Spad gave me a wonderful present which I thought would fit perfectly with this pose, a lovely horse! I have to say this pose is sexy and stylish and it rocks my socks off! Don’t you agree?




My second choice is pose number 6, a very romantic, sensitive and feminine pose. When I look at the photo I think my mind is in another world, dreaming and thinking on the love of my life. :P

iF yoU SEeK AMY ....

Hello there!

Today I will share with you some of my favorites poses from the colection "iF yoU SEeK AMY"... I must tell you that it was very difficult to actually put together these shots with these poses, as they are just HOT! and well I had difficulties keeping my clothes on, I just wanted to give my boy a call and get him so he could "have a look". Anyway here we are..

My first choice is pose number 9, the first time I saw it the movie "basic instinct" sprung to mind and I'm sure you all know which scene I'm talking about... I didn't want to copy this scene as I wanted to show even with clothes you can grab the attention of any guy. I would say it has a rude style but not any less sensual.



My second choice for today, is pose number 4. I can say using simple words that I would call this pose elegant, sensual and femenine. It is an excellent pose to show off some lovely underwear and wait for your man after his long day of work.

If you .... *giggles*

Hello Lovelies!

Another week is here and to make you all smile with delight we have a new release for you(WEEEEE!!!). This time were not basing the pose on a celebrity (Celebrities are on a break this week) this release has be created from the amazing imagination of Zelly!

The pose has a rather catchy name "iF yoU SEeK AMY" (see if you can spot the hidden word ;)). As always this comes in a fatpack collection and of course you all know our poses are of the highest quality and sold at great prices!



I have to confess that Zelly has crossed the line when it comes to the design of these new poses! They are just hot, sizzling HOT! Pop over to our store and try out these poses for yourself, but I have to warn you, you may get burnt! (Yes! they are that HOT!) Also feel free to take a look around the store and try all the other magnificent poses we have for you!

Many of you may already know about this weeks release, as you are a member of our group and because of this you receive the updates before they are posted on the blog. And to finish this post, I have something that I couldn't help but post ... my own picture using the dollarbie for this week, Amy Lee ... this is a lovely and delicate pose that is a must have for all you girls! It looks so gracious when you wear it with wings :3



As always you can find the dollarbies in the middle of our main store, just next to the windows in front of the stairs, there are also many more dollarbies for you and don't forget that at the back of the store are all the lucky chairs waiting for you to be a lucky winner.
