Another good Shop at Harlow

Hello fellow readers,

I’m posting today to tell you about a really nice shop that has just been rented on Harlow, and just for this post I’ll be talking about shops instead of Jordan.
Blush & Bashful Boutique is a new shop here in Harlow at the Docks, and I have to admit I’m happy about this shop opening, why? The owner of this store is a very good friend of mine, Gigi Sapeur.

She is an excellent designer, her clothes are always of good quality, the textures and hand work are perfect. She always puts in realistic details into her designs making it hard to resist buying them all. Also just to add she has very reasonable prices!

I have had the pleasure to model some of her work in the past and I just love it, and today I am going to show you how good she is.
As the summer is starting here where I live, I got the “Peacock Bathing Suit” a lovely and very sophisticated one piece swimwear in a lovely pastel green colour with 2 peacocks on the front ;).

Now, if you are in a city and want to look chic and casual, this “Lil' Miss Plaid in red” will look lovely on you all, it’s a 2 pieces suit that suits all girls of every skin colour. The kilt top comes with a strapless option and the skirt matches perfectly with the colours of the top, it’s a very nice suit for the beginning of autumn and of course make sure to wear a jacket, if you plan on being out for long time :P

And to finish, I for you something for those days that we don’t want to dress so much, and feel comfortable at home, well, Blush & Bashful has a selection of panties saying “I love you” in many languages like Spanish, Japanese or French :O . The top is not from the set of panties, but I found this great “Beware of Bridezilla tshirt”, clever uh? … and if you take a close-up look you will see the wrinkles in it, as I said before Blush & Bashful has really great clothes collection at wonderful prices.

After Party :)

Here we go!

Good day fellow readers,

Today I have zillions of photos to show you, all from our very successful Harlow Costumed Scavenger Hunt Party … *breath*

A lot of people were around and we all really had great fun, I must confess I was kind of busy taking the pictures, but that is the photographer job … it is not a party if you don’t have a picture to show, right?

So … first at all I am going to congratulate our 2 winners, eKitten Magic, she won the scavenger hunt running all over the sim with her 2 headed baby and pram and not to forget smoking her cigarette! Well don eKitten! And our Best in Costume winner Kyrian Lafavre, wearing an adorable puppet dress with spiders and all that stuff … has to be the best Halloween costume so far :D



We had a real mixture of costumes and I am sure you didn’t realise that we had a real vampire in among us at the party, thankfully he was kind and didn’t bite us ;)

Soo… just two days till our great Halloween hunt is here, or maybe you’ll be hunted youself! I guess that’ll depend who’s company you are in ;) Also, our Zelly might be joining us, and also! Rhianna has fixed her pc problems so she will be there all night long hosting the party and hunt!

Midweek Fabulousness From Harlow!

Getting excited about the Scavenger hunt yet? I know we at Harlow are. I haven't even begun thinking about a costume yet...cos I just have so many to choose from. How do you decide something like this? Good or bad? Scary or sexy? Ack too many decisions!

Complete with shoes, stockings, hat and even a nasty looking syringe, its the most sexy naughty nurse outfit on the grid, and its only $1!!!! I love a gorgeous pair of stilettos, and this pair from MEB is just incredible. Not only are they super sexy with a stunning high heel, but the colour combination is stunning too. They look great when just lounging around at home or for wearin gout with on of your favourite outfits. I chose to lounge around in my silk pants from XTC.

Hunt Hunt ... good good!

Tuesday!!!

Just 5 days left till the Scavenger Hunt! At Harlow, I hope you all have your costumes ready! I am still sorting out my costume, so … if you are like me, hurry up!



Lots of prizes to be had and the best thing is we have 6k cash up for grabs! Lots of the Harlow stores are participating and are giving away great prizes. Of course this wouldn’t be fun without a party and well.. we have one of those too! With the fantastic DJ Tydeyz Snook playing awesome music for you all!!

Weekend!

Hello,

Finally it’s Friday! Woohooo, weekend is here and lots of things are happening, we at Striking Poses and the folks of Harlow are preparing for our “Harlow Costumed Scavenger Hunt”, I’m sure you have seen all the adverts around the sim and of course the one that I’ve included in my blog posts.

If you haven’t seen it, here you go … again :P



There are many wonderful prizes including 3k linden dollars! So mark your calendars for this October 25th, you have enough time to find the perfect costume, remember there is also 3k Lindens for the best in costume!!

This is my favorite part, when I get the chance to show you my work with the poses; I took the last one of the ISM 14 Collection. This picture was made last week before I went to work, I was enjoying the sun before it set, I love this pose, it makes you feel in touch with your deeper self.



If you like it (I’m sure you do!), it is International Supermodel 14, pose number 10.
I also have a different pose for you, it is a group one and is made for girls, but if you know how to modify them then you can also use it with a boy ;) just like I did…

Do you feel that sometimes you have a lot of things to do and you want to get them all done? But for the life of you, you just can’t do it? Well, I am living that now, I just can’t get focus on doing anything! XD

Anyhow, here I am, I’m sorry I’m not able to show you a sneak peak, as our lovely Zelly is away for a few days, we just hope she comes back soon!

It was difficult for me to choose my favorites poses from the newest collection “International Supermodel 14”. To me, they are all great, just perfect and the mood I was in today I just couldn’t decide. After a short while something came, like always.

So here we have a picture for you, I went back to my old style and used a real life background, and I have to say I’m really pleased with the outcome!

One of my favorite poses is number 2, it is a classic stand with hands on the hip, I am using his on my hud, it just looks really gorgeous. With the perfect outfit you will be the queen wherever you go ;)



With my next picture, I decided to create something themed along the lines of “City Night Time”, I took a casual outfit and my new boots and there I was, walking to a bar downtown. Of course my night wouldn’t be complete if I wasn’t using pose number 9, from the same collection. Now I am looking sure of what I want, and what I’m going do.




Next week we are holding a hunt and it is called a “Scavenger Hunt”, I’m sorry I have to confess I had no idea what a scavenger hunt was, I had to translate it. I’m sure you all know what it means, Rhianna has a list put together that will contain a list of items that you’ll need to find. The first person to come to us with all the items on the list will win all the prizes, that’s right, clothes, gift cards, poses and 3000L$!! Also! We will have another 3000L$ for the best costume, so don’t come in your casual outfits, come in your best Halloween suit and come on over for the hunt! (I know a few stores in Harlow have some really good Halloween items and someone of them are free.. great eh?)

Its Wednesday, which means I'm back with some more stuffies from Harlow for you to enjoy.

Another new store on Harlow is D3 - Drop Dead Diva. I popped on in to check it out and stumbled across their dollarbie gift, which put me in an Alice Cooper frame of mind. Maybe it was the tight leather pants, but I dug out my Alice eye makeup skin and went posing in a graveyard. There are some really cute outfits in store, so do check them out!

I love love love boots! MEB's grunge boots are just perfect for stomping around SL in and look fabulous with jeans! These boots come with a handy resizing option - and be careful when doing that. Milady's Fancy has some of the most gorgeous clothing in SL and this outfit is one of my favs. Perfect for Autumn, it has a luxurious cowl neck sweater with several skirt options. Available in a variety of colours, you will soon find the right one for your changing wardrobe.

I just had to sneak another fangirl post in this week, especially after Cameron was sent this amazing new outfit for men from XTC. Not only will you find amazing dresses, corsets (drool) and jackets for women in store, but the men's designs are breathtaking, so you ladies need to drag your partner, boyfriend, boytoy - any male you know - in to check it out. I love this dress though. Tight leather, textures and coloured, its simply gorgeous. There is a selection of colours available too, so there is definately one for you!

Out.Rage has this lovely dress with bands of gorgeous purple detailing around the waist and hemline.
