In the memory of Zelly Mornington

To the SL community and Friends,

It’s a month today since our beloved Zelly Mornington passed away. I’m sorry I haven’t posted sooner, it’s just it still hurts and it hasn’t sunk in yet, and I can’t believe I’m here telling you this. I just wish I had the chance to say goodbye to her.

Zelly was an amazing woman, boss, worker, friend and sister and I am sure everybody that knew her will be agree with me. She was a very passionate person and always gave 110% to everything she was doing. A true friend that always cares for others; she always worried about me, she always wanted to know if I was happy with the steps I was taking in life. She was like a big sister to me, the one that I never got the chance to meet.

I could keep saying more, but my worlds won’t be enough to describe her and from the bottom of my heart … I really miss her. I just want to give my condolences to her family and let them know she will be always in our hearts.

Zelly loved Striking Poses and after she closed she kept working on some new ideas. Before she stepped away from SL, she worked on some ball room dancing poses, the idea was to do a total of 10 of them, but she only managed to create 3 of them and they were never released. She wanted me to do the pictures when all of they were ready, she said to me “use some of your magic to do something awesome for me” … and here they are … Zelly I’m sorry that I am late giving these to you.

Hello lovelies.

I am very sad to announce that I am shutting the doors of Striking Poses indefinitely. I am having some serious health issues and as much as I've tried to keep SP current and thriving, I just can't at this time.

I have had so much fun making poses and meeting so many great people. I'm going to really miss that. Thank you for making my second life something special. :)

I am currently have a sale on everything in my store...it's all been reduced to 50% or more. I don't know how long the sale will last. I'm selling my sim, so as soon as it sells, the sale will be over.

I'll still be logging in to SL from time to time and my poses will be available at XstreetSL.com. I hope to one day return, but until then, this is all I have to offer.

PS if you are interested in purchasing the sim, please contact me. I will not be selling my business, just the sim.

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS’S DAY!

WEEEEE ¡!!

Okay, I know you were expecting some nice pictures to celebrate this day, but I just forgot. I am living in a place without time and I just didn’t realise till today that is 17th!! Sowwy! T_T

But .. I do have something nice, and this is one of the poses from our new collection High Fashion. This pose is perfect for those gowns that have a open side leg, just like the dress I am wearing in my picture:

This is pose number 2, I like the way you look, a cool stand and a very feminine way to put your hands, you are the boss! Totally!

Okey here’s the thing, I don’t know what we have done wrong here in Chile, huge earthquake followed by a tsunami and then many aftershocks each night. Yesterday we even had a blackout that affected over 9 states for 3hours, and we only have 13 states! Please someone give us a break!!! T_T

Anyway … Last Friday I told you about our new collection “High Fashion”, which is available now at our store :D

This collection is the first from Striking Poses new FASHION COUTURE POSE line; these poses are specifically made to go with your haute couture fashion. You can’t miss these! Not now with all the RLF things happening, you will need one of our poses to match all the clothes you will get there ;)

Just how I did ;) …

This adorable pose is number 6, when I first saw the hand near the face I thought "she is talking on the phone!" so I added my particular mobile and voilá!!!

Sneak Peek!

Hello everyone!

I’m back! … and not just me, Striking Poses too! We have been working hard these past few weeks to bring you the best ever glamorous poses.

I’m still dealing with the earthquakes and aftershocks, but thank God I am still here, Zelly will have a hard time getting rid of me! xD

I haven’t had the chance to welcome our new rentals manager, Italia Villota! … If you need anything in regards to rentals on the Harlow sim she is the girl to speak with! … She’s super cool!

Of course my post doesn’t come alone … no way! … I have for you a sneak peek … something fabulous, something fashionable … something HIGH! ;)

Lots of new stores are coming to our Harlow sim, for all styles, Italia will tell you later on more about it, but you can come along and have a look, just don’t forget your pursues! :P

Hi There,

Lots of my friends have been asking if I was okay after what happened in my country, Chile, we got a strong earthquake level 8.8, after that, a huge Tsunami ... I am good, thanks God nothing happened to me and my family or house, for me the earthquake was level 7 and 3 minutes longer >.< ... but we passed in good conditions, I must say, I am a lucky person.

At the south of Chile, where was the catastrophy, lots of towns are gone when the Tsunami hit not with one wave, with 3 or 5 waves one after the other and destroyed everything ... ships are over houses, inside them or betweens trees in the wood houses are over other houses, it's just like a science fiction movie like 2012 or the day after tomorrow.

Some of you have been asking how can they help us ... so here is the info of what I've found

So Long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen...

Several weeks ago, and with a heavy heart, I went to Zelly and told her my commitments in SL meant I was no longer giving Harlow my all or best, so we decided that it was best for the Sim to find someone who could.

I am thrilled to say she found her new "Jordan", Italia Villota, who is stepping into my shoes and will be taking over as Sim Manager and blogger for Harlow.

Tali is going to be an excellent addition to the Harlow family, and I wish her all the best in her new role. I look forward to watching her in action and seeing what she will bring you all each week.

As for me, I am still behind Harlow, Striking Poses and the wonderful stores I discovered and fangirl 100%. Plus I'm working with Zelly on another project now, so there really is no escaping me!!!

Good luck Tali! You have joined an awesome team and group of people to work with!

On a different note, we'd like to send Ake all our thoughts and best wishes. Ake lives in Chile and luckily escaped harm in the recent earthquake. Many others weren't as lucky.

Hello Striking Poses Lovers,

The famous valentine’s day or Vday is coming. I’m wondering how you can tell the difference from Vday and Bday when you say them.. Vday… Bday.. Vday.. they sound the same! anyway I’m not going to celebrate it as it’s my brothers Bday on Vday…. How confusing? Bday.. Vday… haha :p

Anyhow, I wanted to share my happiness with you all, as finally my precious Visa has been granted and I will marry Spad in RL soon :D Yaaay!!

Anyway as I always say, this isn’t about me, but about Poses! Okies, for today I have some of my artwork inspired by this elegant pose collection called Hollywood Starlet which has been modeled on Susan Hayward.

In this picture I used poses 6 and 7, making a Expo car show with 2 fantastic models, as you know every nice expo has gorgeous models, and even that is not a model pose, you can always use it for it.

Sometimes just using torsos and arms can really work well in a shot, which is why I’ve chosen pose number 9, this pose has a nice leg stand, but what I loved more was the head looking up to the sky, that is why I’ve decided to do this picture!

So … don’t forget the hunt we have on, the poses are super great and the included notes are just perfect to express what you want to say but you are to shy to do it :) Look for the red sculpted heart and have fun!

How to Be a Starlet? ... with Striking Poses ;)

Hello people!
I hope you are all busy at our hunt! No? Don’t know what I’m talking about? Let me remind you then, we at Striking Poses are holding a Hunt from Feb. 7th to 22nd. It is the “Love Notes Hunt” which means all the 10 poses in the hunt come with some different love message for you to express!
I did the hunt and is pretty easy to find all the hearts, don’t wait too long or you’ll miss your chance ;)

As you know, our celebrity for this week is the Hollywood Starlet, the beautiful Susan Hayward., the poses are totally glam, I like the style of elegance they have, that is why I was greatly inspired by them and did some pictures with it.

This is pose number 02, it is perfect to seduce your partner this valentine’s day, also is a perfect pose for lingerie designers, If I were one, I would use this pose to show my work or my assets ;)

Also, I decided to work with close up shot, not that I am getting egocentric, but sometimes people think that a pose must be used to show the whole body, but there are poses that tell “show some part of me!” … So, I took pose number 05, a sitting pose ;)

I also want to share with you some sad news. From now on our lovely Rhianna won’t be a Diva anymore, this means she is leaving Harlow and Striking Poses for personal reasons. Sunday News at Striking Poses

Hunting Open Season!

No no, this is not like a bugs bunny cartoon, this is about Striking Poses holding a hunt! YAY! I’ve been lucky to be asked to do the advert and the note card to put into every pose you find. This hunt starts today and runs till February 22nd. (I have the location for all of the poses … muahaha(evil laugh))

If you like to go hunting, well SP is also participating in the Snacks N’ Sweets Hunt, you have to look for a yummy cupcake and get your prize :D

No, we are not just focused on hunts, no way … we have a new release for you, and this week it is the time for retro Celebrities! Yay! This weeks is modeled on Susan Hayward, a beautiful woman that made the silver screen sizzle, and now you can too! Only if you get the “ Hollywood Starlet Collection!

Okay! We know you like presents and sales, this is why Striking Poses has a new dollarbie for you, but don’t forget that group members will pay less for dollarbies! :D

And we have a new collection is on sale, this time it is the turn for Lap of Luxury… go to our store and try them out!

Zelly has told me that a new collection will be out this Monday for the Midnight Mania … but … sadly the name of this collection is a mystery, as I don’t know it either! But keep an eye to the group notices, Zelly will inform you all soon ;)

Alexandre has some gorgeous clothing in store and I was drooling big time as I window shopped. There is a wall of sales items too, which is where I picked up this baby. I don't have enough purple in my wardrobe and we all know by now, I am a sucker for corsets! Swing by and check them out and see if you fall in love with them too!

Hello People,

I feel like the wicked witch of the west, ”I’m Meeellttttiiingggg.. Meeellttttingggg”.  Can you believe that it is 37°C today!!! OMG and we don’t have any air conditioning systems, not unless you are in an office or shopping mall… but not in the homes here, were to far away for those things.

Anyway I want to show you the original pictures that Zelly was inspired by to create these amazing Fairy poses, from her “Fairy Essence” collection.

Not only for fairies! All you angels can use them too, just like I did! And here is me to show you my angel point of view :3

This was one of the first outfits I ever bought from XTC. I just fell in love with the snake texture of the top and tend to wear it with jeans or leather pants and it looks amazing. Hi there!

Guess what, I have a sneak peek for you all today! YAY!!! Just in time before the new collection is released :D

I hope you all have enjoyed our last release, The Ballerina. I found them totally adorable, the poses are just beautiful, really.

I also hope you have all received Zelly’s gift, was away to say thanks all for sticking by us. The giftfor those who don’t know was a box that contains 3 random poses and it should be within your inventory under the name of “SP_Group Gift”

Don’t forget that you can still grab the dollarbie poses, they are in the middle of the store, and you can get them for 1L if you are member of our group, or for 25L if you are not. My friend Lou asked me for a picture, together, so I managed my self to do something cool, in my opinion of course(my desktop pc is horrible slow), so he is posing the "Male Models 02" pose number 01 (based on Vin Diesel) and I am on "Posh and Spicy" pose number 10 (based on Victoria Beckham)

Something for Tuesday :P

Hello Everybody,

Today I’m in a good mood, don’t ask me why, as  I have no idea.  Anyway … I came to show you my favorite poses from the new collection “The Ballerina”.
First, I must tell you these poses are based on the original ballerina girls, some famous and some from paintings. When you can compare you’ll realize how good the work Zelly has been doing with these poses.

Second, I’ll show you my favorites poses, all of them :D … but I have decided to pick out  the most amazing ones, so take a look at them, while doing so you’ll also notice I am wearing normal shoes, so no need for those tight fitting ballerina shoes.

Now, the Midnight Mania Party was very successful, we reached the required 150 people to win the prize and they all got fantastic poses… it was a great way to have fun and the trivia we did was hilarious xD
Thanks to all of you for attending and we hope to see you all again!

Striking Poses is back!

No, I am back! :P

Yes, I had been on my holiday’s hehehe, not that I went anywhere. I needed a break to take care on some RL things and now I have to wait for answers … I hate waiting…. To wait for someone to tell me yes or no while my life is on hold till I get this answer….

And well… I broke my laptop, how? I changed on the graphic settings in SL to try and improve the way my pictures look, but I didn’t know that so I broke my graphic card T_T

I am here now and so is Zelly, finally she got her laptop and she can get to work creating some new poses for us. Oh and this next collection, OMG! You will love it … so here it is .. a sneak peak for you xD

This collection will be released in a few days, meanwhile you can enjoy what we have for you at our store, don’t forget our last releases and if you missed the footwear expo, now all the collections that were made for this event are at our main store, ready for you to take home ;)

Whising you a very Merry Christmas!!

We have different traditions all over the world, and here in Chile, we wait for Santa Claus to come at midnight, we have our Christmas dinner around 8pm, we chat and the kids go out to try and track down Santa Claus (let me tell you that even a airplane light can be santa ;) ) then when the clock reaches midnight, all the kids run inside the house as “SANTA CLAUS HAS COME”!!!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee … okay, Santa must lost my special parcel because didn’t arrive today :( wait … I am still on time, maybe is hiding somewhere …

Trying not to melt x_X

Hello!

I’m melting here in Chile, temperatures hitting 36°C and with 10% humidity? Eeeek, I’m not a great fan of our Chilean summers, at least I don’t feel all sweaty and sticky today, it’s very dry and I like it like this, just not liking the 36°C temperature!

This is why you’ll see me wearing summery things, and not winter clothing that makes me all cozy and warm xD

Today I visited a friend’s house, and managed to get a nice breeze of fresh beach air :D

Wow I can't believe we're just over a week out from Xmas already? Seriously, where has the time gone? I bounced around the sim last night and stumbled upon the Xmas pressies left by some of out fab stores.

Summer is here T_T

Hello lovelies!

I’m in a great mood, you all must know why ;) (not because summer is here and we got 30°C and I was melting)

I want to thank Jordan for her lovely post and to everyone that attended our wedding, to see you all there was the most amazing gift we could have :D

The other day I was kind of bored … well … not bored really, I just needed something to distract me, so I started to do some photo shoots, and I managed to do some nice pictures. In my opinion. :P

I used the Drama Queens Collection, this is an old package based on an old drama queen actress, this collection is totally great, all the poses have a special stand that makes you feel like a queen, they has style and quality, I am sure you can take that Drama Queens out of you using this poses ;)

Way To Go Ake!!!!

I'm taking a break from the normal Saturday blog I write to congradulate our very own Ake on her wedding today to her beloved Spad.

It was a gorgeous ceremony celebrating over 2 1/2 yrs of love, laughs, good times and bad. It gives me hope that maybe somewhere out there is alight at the end of my tunnel instead of all those trains that keep running me over.

Ake looked so beyond gorgeous as she pledged her love to Spad in front of their friends, which included such names as Nicky Rees, Cerberus Noel, (omg I am such a fangirl of them both) as well as Zelly and Rhianna, whom along with Cerberus, were on bridesmaid duty and looked stunning as clouds on my screen. I can't wait to see the official pics to see how gorgeous they really looked.

Congradulations Ake and Spad. I wish you continued love and happiness as you both bounce along life's road together.

Partying the whole weekend ... yay!

I'm a bad girl ... I know ... but I've been really really busy these days, just one week ago I decided to book a date for our wedding, and it is happening in 2 days more

OMG!!! I'm so excited! I can't hide it!!!!!

And it will be a very busy weekend, because we will have Party at Harlow!! WOOT!!

Wednesday...just!

Ack I'm late! I feel like the White Rabbit! At least I can just squeak in with my Wednesday post. I've been having massive "Emerald" issues this week. I only use Emerald for photo taking, and its very hard to do that when half your inventory is missing! So after being a big girl and downloading the latest Emerald viewer, my inventory is back and I have my pictures done.

Footwear Expo lastest hours!

Today is the last day for the Footwear Expo, if you haven’t been yet or had a chance to buy something then you’ll have to be quick!

Only 5 hours left before all the shoes go poof, there are hundreds of shoes here all in on location, no need to tp everywhere! But of course you can always visit of store in Harlow if you miss any of our poses.

If you want to donate to the charity event when you can buy our pose at the expo, but you will have to do it now, otherwise once it back in sale at our store the profits no longer go to charity.

Right then, you all need to start and get ready for our next party at Harlow! Rhianna is working hard to organize it for next Sunday the 13th of December … and guess what!!! I will have to work on my honeymoon! T_T bad girl Rhi … anyway We've got some amazing outfits to give away... we have 3 sets of each of the outfits shown in the advert.

Hurry the Footwear Expo Will End soon!

Ladies and gentlemen we only have two days left till the footwear expo is over, so as a reminder I’ll go over some of the poses we have on offer…

I have 3 remaining poses to show you from the Tickled Foot ll Chubby collection, each of them are unique and very special so let’s begin with pose number 5.

This wonderful pose also includes a luxurious bath tub, all so cute, it is a really original pose for all you designers and models to show off those nice pair of shoes, or some jewelry or maybe hair, or even prims nails?

Next up is pose number 6 , a casual stylish pose, I love just love the position of the leg and how the hip goes a little to the side. It’s not just a shoe pose, it is an ideal pose to use daily, and yes, I have added it to my hud

The last pose, is number 8, totally cute, look at the legs they seem to be in a jumping position, kind of, this pose will look good if you stand in front of a wall or tree, or whatever you think that makes it looks great xD

What December brings ...

Merry Xmas!!!

Oh wait, it’s not Christmas yet! You would think it was Christmas with all these adverts and promotions going on in game and in real life! … hehehe never mind … I am here to bring the best of Striking Poses and that is my gift for all of you xD

Like everyone else that went to try and win the lovely red winter jacket from the lucky chair, I was fortunate enough to get mine rather quickly! Or so I thought, I clicked to sit, my screen went black, and the game froze… After some mintues of panicking my screen unfroze and I was still sat in the chair with my new Red Winter Jacket!

So I thought I’d use my new jacket in the picture for today, oh and to make things even better my wonderful boots from Magnifico came with a colour changer and the red from them matches perfectly with my jacket! =0*

We all know that a wonderful jacket and lovely shoes don’t make a picture, no no.. it’s the pose that makes the picture! Too lazy for a dance ... but not for a talk xD

Hello,

Half the month has gone already and I am still waiting for my documents T_T but…. In mean time I play with poses and work my magic to find you the best ones to show you.

Today I am in a lazy mood (as always), I just want to be sit and do nothing, it’s the reason why I have this picture for you. Using pose number 01 from the Tickled Feet I Collection. There are few other sittings poses in SL that I like, and this on definitely one of them, it’s just plain cool, with a touch of attitude, don’t you think so?.

Striking Poses at Footwear Expo! yay!

Finally the day has come, I am so excited about us being part of the Expo, the 2009 AL Footwear Expo that is taking place to benefit the Toys for Tots. Many poses designers were invited to take part, and of course we at Striking Poses were invited.

Back when Zelly first asked me to produce the adverts for the exclusive poses to be used in the expo I had spent most of my time trying to work out in my head how I would do them. She asked me “I want them to look chic”, chic? Lots of ideas what through my head and so many ideas I would put to use in Photoshop later.

I would like to give my personal thanks to the shoe designers who sponsored us, and who were kind enough to send us pairs of their latest collection of shoes and boots. I have to say a THANKS to the Bax Coen Designs team and to the Magnifico Exclusive staff, girls you made my pictures look so gorgeous and chic, just how Zelly had asked me.

A little about the Expo… the expo is to benefit the Marine Toys for Tots foundation, which you can read about here ^^

All the money raised from our first trio group pose "Foot Buddies Group Pose" will be donated to this excellent foundation. So, what were you waiting for!

Of course a trio group pose is not enough, not for Zelly, so here it is Tickled Feet I Chubby Pack, this collection comes with 3 sitting poses and 1 stand, they are super cool to work with, sexy and stylish, get yours now! (okay not all sitting but you know what I mean :P)

It's time to look glamorous

I have been quite busy the past few weeks. At the moment I’m trying to work out in my mind something extraordinary for Striking Poses and something for our friends who will have business patnership with us (more news about that later)

I ‘m sure you have all heard about the SL Footwear Expo 2009. You have also probably heard that we were invited to participate and of course we couldn’t resist. Zelly has made some very unique poses just for this event, so you won’t want to miss it!

This week our new release was Femm Vice, this is a unique couple’s pose, totally chic. The pack includes copy-able pose balls as well as individual poses, for those people who don’t have a partner ;) You ill always find a use for this pose, couple or not, it's an extraordinary, fashionable pose.

If you like the shoes I’m wearing in the photo above take note that they were created by the wonderful Magnifico grils. They do superb shoes, just looking at the Fano Pumps I’m wearing in black they are fantastic. They also come in various colours and include a hud to allow them to match your own skin. Last Saturday I was chatting with Zelly when she sent me a note card named “Take a look at this”, as soon as I opened it I was in shock, I couldn’t believe what I read. I felt this happiness inside, a sense of joy…. We have been nominated…

Nominated I hear you ask? Yes, indeed we have been, and not for anything less than the “International Fashion Awards 2009”!! WOOT!! Thanks all for choosing for to be part of this great event!

That was my first news for today, my second news is of course about a new release and this week it is time for couples!

Femme Vice is based on a fashion advert, these poses are perfect for designers, designers of shoes, pants, tops, or hair, you decide. It is a really cool pose, even for shapes and skin designers. Where do my days go?

And here it comes again… Friday!

I just can’t believe the weekend is here again, where are the days going? …. Feels like I do nothing and I end up with lots of things to do and no time for anything else … I’m in shock really.

Anyway … a new weekend means a new release, but this time I do not have a sneak peak! Sorry, I was in a hurry and there wasn’t time for me to do a sneak peak for you, but I will tell you this the poses are very fashionable :P

No matter, I always have something for you, as I said it’s not a sneak peak but news about the release for this week, Wet Dreams, do you remember? What a great poses weren’t they? I already took my favorites from the collection and only 2 of them will be in the blog.

Wet Dreams are poses based on this hot porn star Jenna Jameson, she is super sexy and super pretty!

I chose pose number 2 because it looks so chic, the stand is perfect for a catwalk, with the hand on the hip and the head looking to one side, try it out, I am sure you will love it.

My second choice is pose number 6 … rather hot, isn’t it? … this is a pose that opens your imagination, I got several ideas on how to use it, but I came out with something simple and not …. Mmm … porn xD … the hands up looks hot as ever, I really like this pose, and the legs stand, as I see it as an invitation to play with ;)

Shapes by Striking Poses ... and more

Hello everybody,

Quite a while ago Striking Poses introduced a new product to complement our fantastic poses. Do you remember what it was? No? Shapes! They used to be available in our old store.

Acacia, Acantha, Achilla, Achlys, Adara, Adelpha, Airlia, Bellanca are all the names of the shapes we offered, they came in different weights, heights and face shapes.

And now we would like to introduce our new shape……….. “Bryony”.
This shape is 7’3” or 2.21cms in height. It has a slim well made shape that will work well for modeling!

Bryony has a lovely face, a turned up nose and with small eyes, the touch to detail makes this shape match any skin with perfection.

I put together some pictures together to show you how our poses work perfectly with this new shape, both poses from the new Wet Dreams collection.

Some point this week I will show you my favorite poses from the Wet Dreams collection, I must confess that I had trouble picking poses to use… they are all super cool … or super wet ;)

Halloween is over for another year and I don’t want to see any pumpkins or scary faces for the next 364 days. :p

I totally love this look! The jeans come in three different styles, basic, light and extra - which I think applies to the rips and blood etc on them. Another good Shop at Harlow

Hello fellow readers,

I’m posting today to tell you about a really nice shop that has just been rented on Harlow, and just for this post I’ll be talking about shops instead of Jordan.
Blush & Bashful Boutique is a new shop here in Harlow at the Docks, and I have to admit I’m happy about this shop opening, why? The owner of this store is a very good friend of mine, Gigi Sapeur.

She is an excellent designer, her clothes are always of good quality, the textures and hand work are perfect. She always puts in realistic details into her designs making it hard to resist buying them all. Also just to add she has very reasonable prices!

I have had the pleasure to model some of her work in the past and I just love it, and today I am going to show you how good she is.
As the summer is starting here where I live, I got the “Peacock Bathing Suit” a lovely and very sophisticated one piece swimwear in a lovely pastel green colour with 2 peacocks on the front ;).

Now, if you are in a city and want to look chic and casual, this “Lil' Miss Plaid in red” will look lovely on you all, it’s a 2 pieces suit that suits all girls of every skin colour. The kilt top comes with a strapless option and the skirt matches perfectly with the colours of the top, it’s a very nice suit for the beginning of autumn and of course make sure to wear a jacket, if you plan on being out for long time :P

And to finish, I for you something for those days that we don’t want to dress so much, and feel comfortable at home, well, Blush & Bashful has a selection of panties saying “I love you” in many languages like Spanish, Japanese or French :O . Wearing - Red Carpet in Rouge from MEB

Omg how gorgeous is this gown??? Its the premier release from the winter collection from MEB due for release mid-November. If the rest of the collection is anything like this, its going to be an incredible season! The detail that has gone into this gown is amazing. From the delicate ruching to the jewel touch on the shoulder, its a simple, elegant gown, and sure to make you look a million lindens on a special night with your someone. The colour is amazing too...and I'm not a big fan of red, but I loved this shade! Heck I just love this gown!

Wearing - Guenevere Set in Silver from Aluinn

Gorgeous jewellry sets are another weakness of mine, and the new Guenevere sets from Aluinn have just rocketed to the number one spot on my favourites list. The detailing and design is impeccible and this is one set that looks just as good from the back as it does from the front, so its perfect to wear with your favourite updo and strapless gown. In a choice of gold or silver metal, its one set you will want in both. I wonder if I can get away with wearing it with jeans and a tshirt?

Wearing - Pumpkin Ensemble from Rainbow's End

Perfect for this time of year is the pumpkin ensemble from Rainbow's End. I got such a smile on my face when I popped it on and just had fun watching the smilie pumpkin faces as I moved around. Complete with pumps, pumpkin pasties and full body pumpkin tatts, its just a fun outfit for this time of year.

Told you I would be short and sweet today. I haven't had a chance to edit the rest of my pictures, so I will save them for Saturday!

After Party :)

Here we go!

Good day fellow readers,

Today I have zillions of photos to show you, all from our very successful Harlow Costumed Scavenger Hunt Party … *breath*

A lot of people were around and we all really had great fun, I must confess I was kind of busy taking the pictures, but that is the photographer job … it is not a party if you don’t have a picture to show, right?

So … first at all I am going to congratulate our 2 winners, eKitten Magic, she won the scavenger hunt running all over the sim with her 2 headed baby and pram and not to forget smoking her cigarette! Well don eKitten! And our Best in Costume winner Kyrian Lafavre, wearing an adorable puppet dress with spiders and all that stuff … has to be the best Halloween costume so far :D

We had a real mixture of costumes and I am sure you didn’t realise that we had a real vampire in among us at the party, thankfully he was kind and didn’t bite us ;)

Manic Monday Goodies!

Wow the party at Harlow was a hoot yesterday. So many creative and fabulous costumes and the Scavenger Hunt was a blast too. Congrads to the winner of the best costume, Kyrian Lefavre, who took home the $3,000 and to eKitten Magic, who won the Scavenger Hunt and all the goodies that was in the prize pack. Tydeyz had the sim rocking out and Rhianna kept the fun going. Thanks to all who came by for the fun time we all had.

I'm still recovering from Zelly not being blonde! What a shocker that was!!! Even more shocking them me just dressed in bubbles!

Now on to the great finds I have hunted out for you on Harlow this week.

Yummy yummy yummy! I just cannot get enough of XTC and leather! New this week is Hail Storm, a fabulous mix of black and white leather which makes up this sexy and fashionable outfit. The black corset and patch on the butt breaks up and highlights the sexy white leather and makes this an outfit you will love to live in.

Wearing - Good/Bad Girl Tee for D3 and Distressed Leather Choker, Bangles and Cuffs from Zaris

I love T-Shirts, especially funny and clever ones. New from D3 comes a range of "Good Girl Gone Bad" shirts in a range of colours which go so well with your favourite jeans, leather pants, or even a sexy little skirt. I dressed them up with the new Distressed Leather range of jeweelry from Zaris. They are just perfect for a more goth or rock look.

Perfect for this time of year comes a sexy low cut shirt from Insatiable Fashions. You can never have too many tees, so check out this store and keep adding to your collection!

Wearing - Venice Anise from Silk and Satyr and Diamond Hearts in Gold from Zaris

From Silk and Satyr comes another gorgeous gown from their Venice collection. Like the Chianti, which I featured last week, it also comes in a full skirt with gold overlay, but I decided to show off the slimmer skirt with train. The gold touches around the neckline and hem are perfect for the Diamond Hearts set from Zaris. Featuring a solid diamond heart with a chain down to a dangling open diamond encrusted heart. Its just a beautiful set that will dress up any outfit or gown.

I found this delightful sundress in a pack of three colour options free at Catagory 5 when I was exploring the sim and thought I would share it with you. Its a lovely dress for wearing shopping, hanging out or just wandering around exploring the grid.

Wearing - Abnormal Brain Hat from Fire Good

Another fun item from Fire Good is the abnormal brain hat. A large, colour changing brain sits up on your head, and poofs out brains and stars when you click on it. Its another one of those things that amuses me no end and makes SL more interesting and fun!

It’s FRIDAY!!!

I know you’ll all be excited as the weekend has just arrived, even I’m happy and I don’t work! Makes me happy to see another weekend shoot by!

Soo… just two days till our great Halloween hunt is here, or maybe you’ll be hunted youself! I guess that’ll depend who’s company you are in ;) Also, our Zelly might be joining us, and also! Rhianna has fixed her pc problems so she will be there all night long hosting the party and hunt!

All the information you’ll need is inside the adverts, you can find them all around the sim. Do NOT forget your costume!

Midweek Fabulousness From Harlow!

Getting excited about the Scavenger hunt yet? I know we at Harlow are. I haven't even begun thinking about a costume yet...cos I just have so many to choose from. How do you decide something like this? Good or bad? Scary or sexy? Ack too many decisions!

Cam took little persuasion today to come and play hospital with me, especially when he saw this super sexy costume from MPD! I'm not a very good nurse though....I appear to have chopped off one of his arms...oops! Complete with shoes, stockings, hat and even a nasty looking syringe, its the most sexy naughty nurse outfit on the grid, and its only $1!!!! You need to run in and snap it up today, and check out the rest of the costumes in store on Harlow.

I love a gorgeous pair of stilettos, and this pair from MEB is just incredible. Not only are they super sexy with a stunning high heel, but the colour combination is stunning too. They look great when just lounging around at home or for wearin gout with on of your favourite outfits. I chose to lounge around in my silk pants from XTC.

Tuesday!!!

Just 5 days left till the Scavenger Hunt! At Harlow, I hope you all have your costumes ready! I am still sorting out my costume, so … if you are like me, hurry up!

Lots of prizes to be had and the best thing is we have 6k cash up for grabs! Lots of the Harlow stores are participating and are giving away great prizes. Of course this wouldn’t be fun without a party and well.. we have one of those too! With the fantastic DJ Tydeyz Snook playing awesome music for you all!!

Now, in mean time you can visit our sim and if you are interesting in renting a store there, I must tell you that we only have 3 shops left, each with 75 prims.

And … I want to show you this picture I made for one of the stores I work for… The pose is from Dirty Girl Collection number 2 … and with some funny face animations, which you can make a great picture with… also the picture was taken at Harlow, see our decoration is going to be awesome!

Before I go I’d like to mention that Zelly is getting well, thanks for all people has been asking me about her, and we hope she gets a full recover! BIG HUGS TO HER!!!
